H.E. Al Kaabi:
“The sacrifices made by our martyrs reflect their love for the nation and their loyalty to the wise leadership.”

His Excellency Ali Salem Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Family Development Foundation, pointed out how the nation's devoted martyrs became the greatest role models by upholding the founding leaders' values and making sacrifices that reflected the principles they inherited from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. They made the greatest sacrifices in honourable fields and arenas for the sake of equality, justice, peace, protection of the oppressed, and raising the national flag.
His Excellency said: “Commemoration’s Day is a national occasion that is close to our hearts. It represents the sacrifices made by our honourable martyrs in the armed forces who gave their lives to defend the glory and dignity of the Emirates, while also displaying their loyalty to the wise leadership. In order to protect their nation's sovereignty, they fought in all spheres of duty until they became a model of selflessness and sacrifice, standing up for what they believed to be right for their nation.”
According to His Excellency, commemorating this special occasion honours the nation's martyrs, elevates the values of loyalty and sacrifice, and reaffirms these principles that are ingrained in Emirati society. In his remarks, His Excellency emphasised that this day has always been and will continue to be a bright milestone in our national journey, full of pride and honour for those who stood up for justice and righteousness in defence of the security and sovereignty of our homelands.
On this Commemoration's Day, H.E. Al Kaabi expressed his sincere gratitude and admiration for the wise leadership's guidance and recognition of the nation's martyrs who gave their lives to ensure that the national flag will fly high. His Excellency emphasised that martyrdom for the nation is one of the highest forms of sacrifice, allowing sons of the Emirates to express their love for the land, loyalty to its astute leadership, and respect for its citizens.
